In Vitro Biology Research Associate /Senior Research Associate 1261316
Job Scope & Purpose:
Our Lexington based biotech client is seeking a self-motivated researcher to join their Discovery team! The candidate will work in a group to contribute increasing understanding of the cellular and molecular mechanisms of action of specialized molecules, with a focus on hematopoiesis.
This person will play an important role in the development of cellular assays to expand understanding of hematopoietic differentiation and the effect of our drug candidates on the process. The Research Associate will work with a Scientist to develop new protocols and generate data that will be presented at project team meetings and scientific conferences.
Priamry Job Requirements:
- Bachelors with 2 years’ experience or MS in biological sciences (title will match experience); must have biopharma industry experience
- Mammalian cell culture experience required
- Competency in basic molecular biology techniques: PCR, qPCR, Western blotting, ELISA based assays
- Basic understanding and experience with animal models, including tissue and bone marrow collection
- Experience in cell-based assays is a plus
- Experience with multi-color flow cytometry is a plus
- Demonstrated excellence in planning, executing, and analyzing experiments
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and perform in new areas
