IT Project Manager/Communications Intern

Job Overview: Assist as project manager for priority projects led by IT Operations in conjunction with business owners. Utilize, and in some cases create standard work processes and tools for all aspects of project management. Assist in developing and executing communications plans and projects with IT team, company leaders, operations, and planning teams.
Responsibilities:
- Planning, Execution, Monitoring, Controlling, and Closing of projects.
- Creation and management of all required project plans, i.e. communication, stakeholder, risk identification, escalation, Gantts, etc.
- Visual dashboards (project status, top risks/issues, heatmaps, etc.)
- Meeting agendas, minutes, action items
- Assist with creating and/or utilizing scorecards to report on metrics/KPIs.
- Assist in improving PM Training platforms/procedures.
- Assist in preparing and promoting a variety of internal user-facing content
- Research and create written and visual (including video) content for internal posts.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a college degree, ideally in IT, Communications, Marketing, Project Management, or similar
- Strong experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint Online (able to modify existing sites)
- Knowledge of Smartsheet preferred
- Knowledge of Project Management
