Job Overview: The Bioanalytical Scientist will join the BioA, DMPK, and Biomarker Development group to assist with quantification of drug molecules using LC-MS platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Developing high-quality assays to quantitate oligonucleotides in biological matrices to understand the pharmacokinetics (PK) and metabolism of drug candidates.
- Responsible for sample analysis to support PK/PD and other non-clinical studies, interpret results and report data to support pipeline.
- Partner with and support Pharmacology and Discovery Biology teams.
- Conduct oligonucleotide stability profiling and metabolite identification studies.
- Work with CRO laboratories to transfer, qualify/validate bioanalytical assays, and support assay implementation.
- Write technical reports as needed.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree with 8+ years of post-graduate experience, or Ph.D. with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience working in industry or academia.
- Proven experience with LC-MS platforms (triple quadrupole and high resolution mass spectrometry) for quantitation of drug molecules. Experience with LC-MS analysis of nucleic acids based therapeutics (e.g ASO and siRNA) will be a plus.
- Strong knowledge of bioanalytical principles is required.
- Good understanding of bioanalytical assay development, validation and implementation.
- Experience with LC-MS based protein quantitation is a plus
- Experience using immunoassay techniques like ELISA and MSD-ECL will be a plus.
