Scientist/Sr. Scientist, (Upstream) Viral Vector Process Development 1312838
Location: Boston Area, MA (Onsite)
Science/ Focus: Gene Therapy
Job Overview: Oversee the design and execution of vital upstream process development studies contributing to viral vector production.
Responsibilities:
- Design cell culture processes that are robust, scalable, and highly productive utilizing engineering principles, ranges, specifications and control strategies.
- Execute upstream unit operations including seed train expansion, transfection and production cell culture
- Contribute to the development of cell lines, media formulations, and transfection reagents
Requirements:
- PhD in Chem E., Biochem, or a related field with 2+ years relevant industry experience, M.S. with 6+ years, or B.S. with 8+ years
- Expertise in scalable viral vector cell culture using HEK cell lines
- Skilled in design and analysis of experiments using statistical methods
- Working knowledge of viral vector process analytics
