Job Overview: The Senior Research Associate will be a key contributor to research efforts in specifically delivering and optimizing our novel programmable gene insertion technologies to primary cell types.
Responsibilities:
- Work with scientific lead to execute experimental plans to optimize programmable gene insertion in different cell types
- Culture mammalian cells and seed for high throughput experiments
- Perform DNA/RNA transfections, viral transductions and luciferase reporter assays
- Extract genomic DNA and quantify genome editing events using molecular assays
Qualifications:
- BS/MS in Biology cell biology, molecular biology, or related fields with 2 years of lab experience in industry or academia (industry strongly preferred)
- Thorough understanding of CRISPR-based genome editing technology. Prior experience with CRISPR is preferred
- Experience in mammalian tissue culture, DNA/RNA transfection, bacterial culture, recombinant DNA cloning techniques, Primer design and PCR, Gel electrophoresis, Nucleic acid extraction and purification
- Familiarity with DNA analysis software (Benchling, Snapgene)
