Job Scope & Purpose:
Our exclusive client, a small biotech company led by an experienced leadership team, is seeking a highly motivated Sr. Research Associate to join their In Vivo Pharmacology team. The successful candidate will be involved in all in vivo studies (design, setup, execution, and data interpretation) as well as some ex vivo analysis (flow cytometry, ELISA, qPCR etc). Primary Job Responsibilities:
• Perform in-vivo study in rodents which requires dosing, blood and tissue collection for analysis
• Understand and be compliant with IACUC protocols and regulations
• Perform biochemistry and molecular biology assays/analyses as needed
• With increasing independence, plan, design and execute of a series of experiments that provide the research findings necessary for the completion of an assigned project
• Mentor and train junior personnel and oversee independent projects
Primary Job Requirements:
• BS/MS degree in the life sciences with 2+ years industry experience in pharmacology research
• Proficiency in rodent handling, blood collection, tissue harvesting and processing of biological samples for ex vivo analysis is required
• Experience with various injection routes (IV/IP/PO/SC)
• Experience with mammalian cell culture, and general biochemistry/molecular bench skills
Ability to work collaboratively, especially in a small team setting
• Must be a scientifically motivated self-starter, comfortable with mentoring junior personnel and managing independent projects
