Job Scope & Purpose:

Our Watertown-based biopharma client is seeking an experienced researcher in immunoassay development! The candidate will be expected to participate in mechanistic interrogation of the pharmacological effects of potential drug candidates in support of non-clinical drug development. The primary responsibility of this position is to independently conduct in vitro pharmacology experiments using cell culture systems and perform sample analysis for internal and external studies to support various projects. The secondary responsibility of this position is to contribute to the in vitro assay development.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Perform protein (such as MSD, Simoa/Quanterix, Wes/western etc.) and mRNA (such as qPCR, FISH-RNAscope etc.) analysis to evaluate in vitro and in vivo samples.
• Analyze experimental data and use electronic notebook to keep records of studies.
• Communicate experimental results to team members and management.
• Contribute to critical discussions of experimental designs and assay development.
• Participate in shared lab duties (such as reagent preparation/ordering, etc)

Primary Job Requirements:

• B.S./M.S. in the life sciences with 4+ years of bench research experience in the biopharmaceutical industry.
• Experience with molecular biology and biochemistry techniques such as DNA and RNA extraction, lysate preparation, qPCR, protein quantification, Western blot/WES/JESS, and ELISA
• Experience with immunoassay development
• Experience in handling samples from in vivo studies
• Familiarity with imaging-based analysis
