Job Overview: Our client is looking for a Senior Scientist in their Discovery Technologies group who enjoys hands-on laboratory work and has experience in protein and peptide selection and evolution techniques.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a variety of selection techniques, like phage display, mRNA display, yeast display, DNA-encoded libraries.
  • Help design and construct libraries.
  • Screen and characterize binders using affinity and activity assays, such as ELISA, FACS, BLI, reporter gene assays.
  • Use next-generation sequencing techniques to monitor selections.

Primary Job Requirements:

  • Ph.D. preferred in biochemistry, molecular biology or cell biology with 4+ years post-grad experience, or M.S./B.S. with 6+ years of relevant industry experience. 
  • Experience with phage display, mRNA display or other selection technique.
  • Experience with biochemical and biophysical peptide/protein binding assays.
