Job Overview: A pivotal executive role, the Vice President, Head of Pharmacovigilance leads global drug safety strategy and operations for RNA-based therapeutics, ensuring regulatory compliance, risk management, and cross-functional alignment to support patient safety and successful product development.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Lead global pharmacovigilance strategy aligned with company and regulatory standards
- Ensure compliance with global safety regulations and oversee reporting and risk plans
- Guide benefit-risk assessments, with focus on RNA-based therapeutics
- Collaborate across teams to integrate safety into program strategy
- Oversee safety content for global regulatory submissions
- Manage and mentor a high-performing pharmacovigilance team
- Enhance PV systems with scalable, compliant infrastructure
Primary Job Requirements:
- Advanced degree (MD, PharmD, or PhD) in a relevant scientific field
- 15+ years of pharmacovigilance experience in biopharma
- Deep knowledge of global regulatory standards and authorities
- Proven executive leadership in drug safety and risk management
- Expertise in neurology safety profiles and therapeutic areas
- Hands-on experience leading major regulatory submissions
- Strong agency interaction experience, including FDA/EMA negotiations
- Skilled communicator with a track record of shaping safety strategy
- Proficient in managing safety databases and PV technology systems
